About UPI Field Services
Built in the Field. Proven in the Field.
We're not a desk operation. UPI Field Services was built by people who've worked the lines — and we bring that experience to every project we take on.
Our Story
Who We Are
UPI Field Services was founded on a simple premise: utilities deserve a field services partner that shows up prepared, works safely, and delivers clean data — every time. With over 15 years of combined field experience, our team has walked thousands of miles of line, inspected hundreds of thousands of poles, and built a reputation for getting it right.
We work with electric cooperatives, investor-owned utilities (IOUs), telecom providers, and municipalities across the country. Whether you need a single-circuit inspection or a system-wide assessment, we scale our crews to match your scope without cutting corners on quality or safety.
Every crew member is OSHA-trained, utility-certified, and equipped with the tools and technology to capture accurate field data on the first pass. We don't send rookies to the field unsupervised — our experienced supervisors are on-site, accountable, and in communication with your project team throughout.
Mission
Our Mission
To deliver the most accurate, reliable, and timely utility field inspection and survey services in the industry — so our clients can make confident infrastructure decisions backed by real data from the ground up.
Our Values
How We Operate
Safety First — Always
Zero lost-time incidents isn't a marketing line — it's the result of a safety culture that starts before the first crew member steps out of the truck. Every job begins with a tailgate safety briefing, every hazard is documented, and no production pressure overrides a safety concern.
Accuracy Over Speed
We move efficiently, but we never rush data quality. Every entry is validated in the field before we leave the site. Our QA process catches errors before they become your problem.
Transparent Communication
You'll know where your project stands at every stage. We provide regular progress updates, flag issues as they arise, and deliver final reports on schedule — no surprises.
Scalable Without Compromise
From a 200-pole circuit to a 50,000-pole system inspection, we staff and manage projects to maintain consistent quality at any scale. Bigger scope doesn't mean lower standards.
Standards & Compliance
Compliance & Certifications
Our crews meet or exceed the standards required by the utilities and regulators we serve.
OSHA 10 / OSHA 30
All field personnel hold current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications. Safety training is refreshed annually.
NESC Compliance
Inspections performed in accordance with the National Electrical Safety Code — the governing standard for utility infrastructure.
ANSI Standards
Structural assessments follow ANSI O5.1 (wood poles) and applicable ANSI standards for steel and concrete.
Utility-Specific Standards
We train to client-specific inspection criteria and can adapt our data capture to match your internal standards and formats.
GPS & GIS Capable
All field data is geo-tagged and deliverable in Esri-compatible GIS formats, Excel, or custom client specifications.
